The Ubiquiti US-XG-6POE is a high-performance Layer 3 switch from the UniFi series, designed for professional network infrastructures. It offers a total of six ports: four 10 Gigabit Ethernet PoE++ ports and two SFP+ ports. This switch is ideal for enterprise or studio environments requiring high bandwidth and powering multiple Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices. Centralized management via the UniFi interface enables easy control of large networks. Its key technical strengths are its extremely high speed and power capacity. With a switching capacity of 120 Gbps and a non-blocking throughput of 60 Gbps, it handles heavy network traffic seamlessly. The four ports supporting the 802.3bt (PoE++) standard can deliver up to 170W total power to devices such as access points, phones, or cameras that require high power. It also supports 802.3af and 802.3at (PoE/PoE+) devices for backward compatibility. The two SFP+ ports allow 10 Gbps connections via fiber optic or DAC cables for server or backbone links. The Ubiquiti US-XG-6POE is an excellent solution for scenarios such as video production studios, high-resolution security systems, or high-density office networks. For example, in environments requiring uninterrupted transmission of multiple 4K/8K video streams or on a campus where many high-performance access points need centralized power and management, it meets expectations for both speed and power distribution. Its Layer 3 capabilities provide flexibility in network design by enabling inter-VLAN routing.
