The Ubiquiti U-Installer is a professional installation assistant that every WISP technician should have in their bag. This rugged and portable device is designed to greatly simplify and accelerate customer premises equipment (CPE) installations. Especially in adverse weather conditions and hard-to-reach locations, it allows technicians to position, power, and configure the device on-site, maximizing installation efficiency. The technical strengths of this product stand out in features that make the installation process seamless. The device provides 24V Passive PoE power and Wi-Fi connectivity to the connected CPE, enabling the technician to access the device management interface directly from a smartphone or tablet. With its built-in 1000mAh battery, it offers approximately one hour of installation time without needing an external power source, and can be easily charged via a USB-C port. Additionally, its durable rubber casing and belt clip ensure safe transport and protection even on the most demanding job sites. The U-Installer offers use cases that perfectly complement a field technician's workflow. For example, while working at the top of a pole or on a roof, the technician connects the U-Installer to the CPE. By connecting to the device's own Wi-Fi network from a tablet, they can perform real-time antenna alignment, configure device settings, and complete the installation instantly using the UNMS mobile app. This eliminates the need for the technician to climb down or deal with long Ethernet cables, saving both time and labor.
