Ubiquiti Networks TOUGHCable Carrier Level 2 (TC-CARRIER) is a highly durable Cat5e Ethernet cable specifically designed for challenging outdoor conditions. Developed to provide reliable network connectivity in long-distance installations, this cable is an essential component for professional network infrastructure projects and outdoor wireless system setups. Its robust construction and protective layers offer superior resistance to physical elements and electrical interference. The Level 2 protection makes the cable particularly resistant to extreme heat, cold, UV rays, moisture, and tension/strain. Its shielded construction minimizes electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI), preserving signal integrity and data transfer speed, especially in installations near power lines or other cables. Supplied in a 1000-foot (304.8 meter) spool, it eliminates the risk of signal degradation from connection points, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity. TOUGHCable TC-Carrier is primarily intended for outdoor network infrastructures. It is ideal for connecting outdoor Wi-Fi access points, security cameras, or point-to-point (PtP) and point-to-multipoint (PtMP) wireless bridge systems to the main network or power source. Particularly in campuses, industrial facilities, agricultural areas, or remote installations where cable must be run between poles or buried directly, this durable cable provides a long-lasting, maintenance-free solution. It is also a highly reliable option for powering and transmitting data for Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices.
