The Tachyon Networks TNA-AK-300 is a high-gain antenna kit designed for the TNA-303X and TNA-305X series radios operating in the 60 GHz frequency band. This modular antenna kit, with a 300 mm diameter, converts the radio's wide beam-steering capability into an extremely narrow and focused beam profile, making it ideal for long-distance point-to-point (PTP) connections. Thanks to Tachyon's modular design philosophy, the antenna kit can be quickly and easily mounted to the radio, significantly reducing field installation time. Technically, the TNA-AK-300 offers an impressive antenna gain of 42 dBi, focusing the signal into a very narrow area of 2° x 2°. This high gain and narrow beam provide superior resistance to interference while significantly increasing link range, enabling reliable, high-capacity data transmission over 6 km. The mounting bracket is not included; the TNA-M-P precision mount, which allows fine adjustment, is recommended. This antenna kit is an excellent solution for long-distance, high-bandwidth scenarios such as inter-building high-speed backbone links, campus networks, or video surveillance systems covering large areas. Its narrow beam minimizes interference even in dense RF environments and delivers fiber-like performance where fiber optic cabling is not feasible or cost-effective. When used with a TNA-303X or TNA-305X radio, it ensures a stable, high-capacity wireless connection even in challenging weather conditions.
