The Ubiquiti Networks R5AC-PRISM is a weather-resistant outdoor radio designed for professional point-to-point (PtP) and point-to-multipoint (PtMP) wireless connectivity solutions. It operates in the 5 GHz frequency band worldwide and is developed for establishing high-speed data links. Its robust die-cast aluminum housing ensures long-lasting performance in harsh outdoor conditions. The technical strengths of this product combine the proprietary airMAX ac protocol and revolutionary airPrism active RF filtering technology. airMAX ac technology enables real TCP/IP data transfer speeds exceeding 500 Mbps and uses intelligent TDMA time slots to minimize latency. The integrated airPrism technology significantly improves the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) even in high-density and noisy environments, isolating in-channel signals and suppressing adjacent channel interference by up to 30 dB. Additionally, thanks to the internal multi-radio architecture, real-time RF analysis can be performed with the background airView spectrum analyzer. The Rocket 5AC Prism is an ideal backbone (backhaul) solution for WISPs (Wireless Internet Service Providers) providing broadband access. In high-capacity areas such as campuses, industrial sites, or city-wide networks, it maximizes spectral efficiency by facilitating the co-location of multiple access points on the same tower. With flexible channel widths and GPS synchronization support, it enables the establishment of large-scale, stable, and high-performance wireless networks.
