The Ubiquiti airMAX NanoBeam M5 16 dBi is a high-performance outdoor bridge designed for point-to-point (PtP) or point-to-multipoint (PtMP) wireless connections operating in the 5 GHz frequency band. It stands out with its compact and durable design, ease of installation, and strong signal performance. It is an ideal solution for users who need to provide broadband access, establish inter-building links, or extend an existing network to remote locations. Its technical strengths include a 16 dBi integrated antenna and 2x2 MIMO technology, enabling high data transfer rates and stable connections. Operating with the airMAX TDMA protocol, it offers lower latency, higher efficiency, and better scalability compared to standard Wi-Fi. The UV-resistant outdoor plastic enclosure ensures reliable year-round operation in harsh weather conditions from -40°C to 80°C and wind speeds up to 125 mph. The NBE-M5-16 is suitable for a wide range of use cases, from home office connections to small-scale operator solutions. For example, it is an excellent choice for establishing a high-speed link from a main building to a warehouse or garage, using it as a customer premises equipment (CPE) for a wireless internet service provider (WISP), or connecting security camera systems to a central point. Built-in PoE (Power over Ethernet) support simplifies installation by providing both power and data over a single cable.
