The Aqara Smart Lock U200 Kit (EL-D02D, White) is an innovative retrofit lock solution that makes your existing door smart without removing your current lock or drilling holes. Mounted on the interior key turn or knob mechanism, this system preserves your original mechanical lock while adding modern access methods such as fingerprint, password, NFC, and Apple Home Keys. The white version offers a sleek appearance and is compatible with Euro profile, Scandi cylinder, and US single-cylinder deadbolt locks. Installation requires only a PH1 screwdriver. Technically, the U200 supports Matter over Thread protocol, providing reliable, low-energy connectivity for daily use. Bluetooth is used for initial setup, calibration, and feature activation. With a built-in gyroscope, the lock can automatically lock as soon as the door closes, and offers three speed profiles: silent, standard, and fast. The pull-spring feature automatically retracts the latch when the lock is opened, allowing the door to open without turning the handle. For emergencies, a USB-C port on the exterior panel allows charging via a power bank. This smart lock is ideal for those who want to easily open the door when their hands are full (e.g., grocery bags, stroller). Integrated with Apple Home or Google Home ecosystems, it enables automations such as turning on lights when you arrive or activating an alarm after a certain time at night. Even on doors with multi-point locking systems, it delivers reliable performance with proper calibration and speed profile selection. Additionally, you can assign temporary passwords or grant access via Apple Home Keys to control who enters your home and when.
