The Cudy MC220P is a compact and durable Gigabit PoE+ media converter designed to carry 10/100/1000M copper networks over fiber optic infrastructure. With a metal casing that ensures reliable performance even in harsh environments, this device provides flexible connectivity with one Gigabit RJ45 PoE output and one 1.25G SFP slot. The RJ45 port supports IEEE 802.3at/af PoE standards, delivering both data and up to 30W of power over a single cable, simplifying installation. Key technical highlights include 16 KB Jumbo Frame support for efficient transmission of large data packets. Thanks to the 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet protocol, the device consumes only 0.5W when idle, while the total 35W power supply ensures uninterrupted power to connected PoE devices. Advanced troubleshooting features such as Far End Fault (FEF) and Link Fault Pass Through (LFP) help quickly detect network connection issues. This media converter is ideal for scenarios where PoE-powered devices such as IP cameras, wireless access points, or VoIP phones need to be connected to a central network via a fiber backbone. In offices, campuses, or industrial facilities, it extends network coverage by establishing a fiber connection via an SFP module where copper cable distances exceed 100 meters. It can be easily integrated into different physical environments with desktop or rack-mount installation options.
